Tasmanian Award winners and Scholarship recipients announced
The annual LG Professionals National Awards celebrate the achievements of both individuals and councils advancing their communities. Australasian Management Challenge Regional winner announced
Kingborough Council has won the LG Professionals Regional final of the Australasian Management Challenge held in Launceston earlier this month. It is the second win for Kingborough Council having won the Tasmanian Regional final and National title back in 2015. Despite being up against some of the toughest contenders in an all-star line-up the Kingborough Quolls team impressed judges with their creativity, collegiate work ethic and well-rounded skills. Raymond West National Congress Scholarship Winners 2018
Each year, LG Professionals Australia runs the Raymond West Scholarships program, giving emerging local government leaders the chance to attend the National Congress & Business Expo. Raymond West was the founder of the LG Professionals Australia federation in 1936. These scholarships are offered in honour of him. The award funds two people from each state to attend the LG Professional’s National Congress, which will be held in Canberra from 22-24 August 2018. Applications for LG Professionals Australia first annual International Professional Exchange Program closed recently.
